Abitibi Farms was formed almost 35 years ago for the purpose of perpetuating purebred Arabian Horses of extreme quality and type as well as rare and unique bloodlines. All our Arabians are Al Khamsa catalogued wich means that all the lines in their pedigrees can be traced back to Bedouin-Bred horses in the desert of Arabia. An Abitibi Arabian is the true horse of the Desert, the war-horse of the Bedouin, the unique hot-blooded horse, different from all other equines and, in our opinion, the most beautiful horse in the world. Less than 3% of all registered Arabian horses qualify as Al Khamsa horses: their quality is extreme, their numbers are small, and their flawless pedigree could be framed in gold. Abitibi Farms has concentrated on Egyptian bloodlines within Al Khamsa, with the result that the pedigree of our Arabs are from 87 ½ to 100 % Straight Egyptian.
